Top 5 Video Games Upcoming In 2018

By Stewart Moore - January 27, 2018

Video gaming is hugely lucrative right now. Many of the biggest releases have the budget to rival movie studios and casts to go with it - think Kit Harrington and Conic McGregor in advanced warfare. We're hoping this year has all the goodies to keep us entertained for hours.

Here's our lost of the Top 5 Video Games For 2018.

5. Red Dead Redemption 2

Red Dead Redemption has become somewhat of a cult classic in recent years and Red Dead Redemption 2 is shaping up to be a huge hit for Rockstar. With no hints towards a Grand Theft Auto 6 release date it looks like Rockstar have poured all their assets into making this one a beauty.

4. Far Cry 5
Far Cry has become one of those titles that we expect to hear from every year and 2018 looks to keep up that tradition. It sees the protagonist team up with freedom fighters to combat a far-sighted movement in the south of America. It's an interesting choice and definitely has its influences from the current state of affairs.

3. Moss
Every now and then it's nice to play a game that isn't all about hugely impressive graphics and complex game engineering and that instead pours its efforts into creating something wholly unique and charming. Moss is exactly that. You play the part of a mouse in a beautiful world full of magic and mystery. Moss takes advantage of PlayStation VR, something we saw an increase in towards the close of 2017 and a trend I hope to continue throughout 2018.

2. Days Gone

Days gone places you in the center of a post-apocalyptic world which has been ravaged by humanoid zombie creatures known as "freakers". You play the part of an outlaw biker and you're goal is to survive and thrive.

1. Shenmue III
I'll be honest, I'm biased towards Shenmue III and, at the same time, I'm absolutely shitting myself in case this beautiful franchise is ruined by a forced sequel. As far as I'm concerned, Shenmue is the greatest game ever conceived. The vast world, with all its interactivity and its complexities, was completely innovative and revolutionary and the huge amount of characters you met along the way really made Shenmue a uniquely satisfying game to play. No matter what happens, I will be playing this game as I'm still completely wrapped up in the story of Shenmue and simply have to know how it unfolds.
